About
Beach Hotel Dhigurah is a 30-room hotel near the bikini beach on Dhigurah, a local island more than 3 km long in Alif Dhaal (South Ari Atoll). The island is in the South Ari Marine Protected Area, known for whale sharks all year round. Rooms are air-conditioned, with a Smart TV, study desk, wardrobe and telephone, and come in three categories: Comfort rooms with island views, Ocean View rooms with balconies and Beach Front rooms. The hotel has three places to eat and drink and its own spa, and the beach is close by. Seaplane, flight and speedboat options make it easy to reach. It suits couples, friends and divers who want hotel comforts on a real Maldivian island.

Things to do
Snorkelling with whale sharks is the island's highlight, and diving can be arranged through the hotel. On land, a walk through the island's forest past local farms leads to the sandbank at Dhigurah's tip.
Getting There
A 25-minute seaplane flight, or a 20-minute domestic flight to Maamigili followed by a 15-minute speedboat. The public speedboat from Malé runs twice a day and takes about 1 hour 40 minutes.
Good to know
Dhigurah is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach.
