Nemo Inn is an affordable guesthouse on Omadhoo, a quiet local island in Alif Dhaal (South Ari) Atoll. South Ari is known for whale sharks, which live year-round in the South Ari Marine Protected Area, and the guesthouse runs snorkelling trips to look for them, along with manta and turtle trips. Rooms are spacious, with contemporary amenities and a peaceful feel. The restaurant looks out over the Indian Ocean and serves seafood, salads, curries and traditional Maldivian food, and there is a sea-view terrace. It suits couples, friends and small groups who want calm island days and big marine encounters.

Dining & facilities
Choose bed and breakfast, half board or full board. Meals are served at the guesthouse restaurant, which has views of the Indian Ocean and a menu that runs from seafood and salads to curries and traditional Maldivian dishes. There is also a sea-view terrace.
Things to do
The excursion list is long: whale shark, manta ray and turtle reef snorkelling, trips to Vaavu Atoll, fishing, desert island and sandbank days, local island visits, sunset cruises, dolphin watching, resort day trips and water sports. Kayaking, island hopping and beach dinners are also part of the guesthouse's packages.
Getting There
Transfers are by speedboat from Velana International Airport, about 1 hour 30 minutes to Omadhoo; we arrange the boat with your booking.
Good to know
Omadhoo is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach. Marine life sightings on excursions are never guaranteed.
