About
Nala Veli Beach & Spa is a 26-room guesthouse on Ukulhas, a local island in Alif Alif (North Ari) Atoll, about a minute's walk from the water. The reef is close to shore, so you can snorkel straight from the beach. Rooms range from simple Comfort Rooms for guests who will be out all day to two suites with a balcony and an en-suite Jacuzzi, one facing the sunrise and one the sunset. Meals are at Nala Bistro, with tables indoors and on the sand, and treatments are at Nala Spa at the sister property, Nala Veli Villa, a short walk away. The team meets you at the airport and carries your luggage, which helps here, as the building has three floors and stairs only. It suits couples, friends and families who want a beach-close base and a helpful team.

Dining & facilities
Nala Bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with tables inside and on the sand. The kitchen can cater for dietary needs; serious allergies are best confirmed with the kitchen directly. Nala Spa is at the sister property, Nala Veli Villa, a short walk away, and the team books treatments for you. There is no swimming pool and no lift, and Wi-Fi runs at up to 10 Mbps.
Things to do
The reef is close to shore, so snorkelling starts from the beach. For more, Nala Experiences runs reef trips and sandbank excursions.
Getting There
The shared Coral Speedboat leaves Velana Airport at 10:30 and 16:00 (Saturday to Thursday) and at 09:30 and 16:00 on Fridays, taking about 90 minutes; the team meets you at arrivals counter D11. A private speedboat takes about 60 minutes for up to 20 guests, usually with a day's notice.
Good to know
Ukulhas is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach. Check-in 14:00, check-out 12:00. The rooms have no sea views, and there are three floors with stairs only, so ask for a ground-floor room if stairs are a problem.
